Marcis L. Skadmanis has a master in Law (LL.M.). Having worked as a lawyer for the law firm “Blugers & Plaude” in Latvia and has a business lawyer at "Svejstrup & Lyng" in Denmark, he has gain wealth of experience in international and local commercial law, contractual law, Real Estate and Construction (FIDIC, YSE), Distribution and Trade, employment law and Non Governmental Organizations law.

He has founded the NGO Latvia’s Dialogue Research Organisation in the Baltic States and is the author of some definition in the rights of NGOs.

He is the initiator of the „Worldwide NGO Day” that is supported by the Resolution of the Baltic Sea NGO Forum 2010, The Coordinating Committee on behalf of the Baltic Sea NGO forum has adopted an international Memorandum of Understanding by approving an official setting of the “Worldwide NGO Day” by the United Nations. The aim of the initiative “Worldwide NGO Day” is to be accepted as an official UN observance day according to the UN resolution.

In addition he is the author of a number of international publications on UK commercial law, UK employment law and business opportunities in foreign markets.
